As the Montville Municipal Building continued to support the day-to-day needs of its staff and community, it became clear that certain office areas needed updated furniture to better accommodate workflow and organization. The goal was straightforward: create a more efficient and functional workspace that would support staff productivity while maintaining a clean, professional environment consistent with a municipal setting.

Understanding the Space and Workflow


Working closely with the municipal team, we evaluated how the existing office space was being used and identified key opportunities to improve layout and storage capacity.


One shared office required additional workstations to support multiple team members, while a private office needed upgraded furnishings that balanced functionality with a more traditional, professional look. Storage was also a major priority, with a need for high-capacity filing solutions to help manage documents efficiently and keep work areas organized.


By focusing on these core needs, we were able to recommend a targeted solution that maximized both space and usability.


Designing for Efficiency and Organization


The project centered on delivering practical, durable furniture solutions that would enhance daily operations:


  • Three workstations were installed within a shared office, creating a more structured

    and collaborative work environment while ensuring each user had a defined and functional workspace.

  • Five large lateral file cabinets were added to significantly increase storage capacity, allowing staff to organize documents more effectively and reduce clutter.

  • A private office desk was installed to provide a dedicated, professional workspace for focused tasks and administrative responsibilities.


Each piece was selected with durability and long-term performance in mind, ensuring the space could continue to meet the demands of a busy municipal office.
